UKC AUTUMN OAKS 2026
About Autumn Oaks
The Event Where History Is Made
Founded in 1960 in the Midwest, Autumn Oaks is the granddaddy of all UKC events. The UKC National Grand Champions of the seven UKC recognized breeds are named at this annual hunt.
Autumn Oaks brings together the outstanding coonhounds from the United States and Canada to participate in a Nite Hunt and Bench Show. This prestigious event is held over Labor Day weekend each year. The location of Autumn Oaks is carefully selected on the basis of a club or clubs that can supply qualified guides, good hunting territory, and a fairground that has camping facilities, barns and meeting rooms to accommodate the thousands who attend. Autumn Oaks is a family affair and an event where old friends become reacquainted and new ones are made.
Autumn Oaks is a one-night hunt run off in two nights.
RESCHEDULED - FIRE/EMS BBQ SMOKE OFF
UPDATE TO FIRE/EMS EVENT
RESCHEDULED TO AUGUST DURING THE SMOKE ON THE WATER CAR SHOW EVENT
We were having some difficulties securing cooks but I truly believe some things come apart so better things can come together! We are excited to work together on this awesome project, which I believe will be so much more beneficial to our mission to support our local EMTs and Fire Departments.
All the plans remain intact, silent auction for Chris Johnston and raffle. Just a new location and date! We are so grateful to our sponsors and cooks for their effort and commitment. Travis and I agree that we want to put those donations to as best of use as possible!
We are welcoming other departments to join the cook-off to be able to raise money for their own departments as well as a small percentage of proceeds from vendors going to the Scotty Adams Scholarship Fund. Both of these things benefit our EMTs and Fire Departments because most of the time, fire departments foot the bill for these courses.
We are so excited to make this event bigger and better than we imagined and help our small local departments and EMS services as much as we can. Thank you for your attention to this matter and we cant wait to see you in August!
